On the afternoon of September 7th, 1982, it was discovered that a ship - anchored in a lonely harbor about one mile outside of Craig - had caught fire. Hours later, after the flames had been extinguished, first responders would discover several charred remains: the bodies of at least four people, which had been burned beyond recognition.
