I'm always on the lookout for unique experiences, and I recently came across this giant wine barrel that you can spend the night in just a couple hours away from Sacramento.
Only In Your State shared info on The Wine Barrel on Airbnb, which is hidden away in Los Gatos (just southwest of San Jose) surrounded by a lush redwood forest.
The Wine Barrel kind of reminds me of a hobbit house / tree house hybrid. It has two stories, including panoramic views of the forest surrounding the bed upstairs. And aside from being tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Bay, guests can enjoy a private hot tub and an abundance of cozy blankets.
On the lower level, there's an intimate library ambiance with wood details all around. It's just the cutest, coziest place ever. And how unique is it that it's in a wine barrel!? Love it.
As of right now, this space is listed at $191 USD per night. Not terrible for a unique experience like this, IMO.
