Lay's always has some interesting potato chip flavors, and I was thinking...wouldn't it be interesting if they teamed up with Bath and Body Works to turn candle scents into chip flavors??
HEAR ME OUT.
*Some* of those scents would taste amazing. I'm not about to say "Leaves" should be a chip flavor. But these others? Hell yes.
These are ten Bath and Body Works candle scents that I believe should be Lay's potato chip flavors.
Pumpkin Pecan Waffles - Make these sweet potato chips and these would taste incredible. That maple syrup glaze and pecan crumbles as seasoning would make these chips uniquely delicious and VERY basic bitch. Perfection.
Bourbon Maple - Clearly I'm a fan of maple syrup, so similarly to Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, this chip would also have some sort of maple syrup glaze with a hint of bourbon.
Warm Apple Pie - Maybe this wouldn't be a POTATO chip, but Lay's could make apple chips with this one. I just think this would be a delicious dessert chip that you could use as an ice cream topping.
Blueberry Maple Pancakes - Okay, have you SMELLED this one before???? I just smelled it for the first time this past weekend and it's seriously a life-changing scent. I'd eat an entire bag of this scent if it was a potato chip flavor.
Blackberries & Basil - I see this being a more savory potato chip that goes heavy on the basil and light on the blackberry.
Salted Butterscotch - Turn this into a pretzel-like chip (does this exist yet??) and add butterscotch flavoring. Honestly, all I can think of are Dot's Pretzels here. Those things are super buttery, and I think a butterscotch version of that seasoning would make for a great Lay's potato chip flavor.
White Lavender Eucalyptus - Okay, I've gotta stop myself here and say the eucalyptus is NOT gonna work. But the lavender part? YES. A lot of people don't think lavender is a flavor, but trust me, it definitely is. I LOVE lavender in food when it's done right, and I think this would make an interesting chip flavor. Don't like it? Fine. More for me. :)
You're the One - I barely even remember what this smells like, but DAMN how amazing would it be if Lay's figured out a way to turn a random scent like this one into a potato chip flavor????? I'd love to see them try. It probably won't work, but I want them to prove me wrong on this. Get to work, potato scientists.
Orange Ginger - This is the kind of chip that needs to be dipped in chocolate, let's be honest. Why does this not already exist?
Gingham - I'm including this just because I know you're probably SO disgusted by everything I'm writing here and I know this will upset you even more. Let's make this a chip.
