If you plan to head south along the California coastline anytime soon, beware of gas prices that reached $7.59 per gallon in the town of Gorda.
ABC 30 reports (via Newsweek) that the price of regular unleaded gas rose to $7.59 per gallon in the Big Sur coast town. Premium gasoline hit $8.50 per gallon, making these prices among some of the highest in the country.
The average price per gallon in California is $4.49.
Gorda only has one gas station, with the nearest pumps 40 miles north and 12 miles south.
