The chilly weather in Sac calls for hot chocolate, because coffee and tea isn't for everyone. I asked you on Facebook where the best hot chocolate in Sacramento is, and got an overwhelming response from listeners.
The vast majority of responses pointed to Ginger Elizabeth having the best hot chocolate in town.
The menu on their website lists six types of hot chocolate to order in-store: Classic American, Single Origin Classic American, European Sipping Chocolate, Oaxacan Spicy, Almond, and Mocha. Any choice can be garnished with fresh whipped cream or house-made vanilla bean marshmallows.
You can also order hot chocolate tins on their website here.
Have you had hot chocolate from Ginger Elizabeth yet? I hate to openly admit this, but I still haven't even been there. I'm really tempted and excited to try the Oaxacan Spicy hot chocolate, though!
Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates is located at 1801 L Street, and Ginger Elizabeth Patisserie is at 2413 J Street.
