If you need additional assistance beyond filing an insurance claim for property damage, Sacramento County is looking into setting up a Local Assistance Center for residents impacted by the storms that you may benefit from.
A Local Assistance Center (LAC) is activated when major disasters like the recent storms across the Sacramento area occur. It provides affected residents with resources, assistance, and recovery direction.
Right now, the OES needs to hear from impacted residents to figure out where to place an LAC, so property damage reports are crucial. To report damage to homes or businesses, go here. Your information is then sent to the OES as well as State and Federal emergency response agencies.
It's important to note that this is completely separate from filing an insurance claim.
To report downed trees on public property and roads, or flooded roads, call 311 or go here to make a report.
