Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe announced this week that she's going under the knife.
Kaitlyn posted a photo of herself in front of a blue backdrop on Thursday to announce that she's never gone under the knife...until now.
"I'm at a plastic surgeon office, so took advantage of the blue photo back drop," she wrote in the caption. "Everyone seems to think I always go under the knife for surgery, but I haven't till now. Finally. I can share with you guys. I'm getting my ear lobes fixed. Wearing too many heavy earrings over the years can really pull the hole down so we're gonna cut it and stitch it back up so I can rock some hooooooops. The process takes 15 mins. Haha. K love you guys bye!!"
I've had this same procedure before and it was extremely simple. I used to have my ears gauged, but finally decided I wanted to close them up. Since they only closed up so much naturally, I decided that I'd feel best getting them closed surgically. I happened to get mine done at a dermatology office, but cosmetic surgeons obviously do the procedure, too.
The doctor used local anesthesia on my earlobes, cut out the center of the holes, and stitched everything back up. It healed pretty quickly and didn't really hurt at all.
Pricing varies by geographic location, so I honestly couldn't tell you how much it costs to get this procedure here in Sacramento or anywhere in California. The best way to know what the price is would be to get quotes from various surgeons in the area, and then take your pick. Set up a free consultation with these places and get those quotes.
