The commute along Highway 50 was a bit stanky Friday morning. That's because of a manure spill that happened in South Sacramento.
According to the CHP - South Sacramento Facebook Page, officers responded to a call at around 8:50 a.m. regarding a "slippery substance" covering multiple lanes on westbound 50 near Stockton Blvd.
Upon arrival, officers were told that a dump truck carrying manure slammed on its brakes to avoid a collision, resulting in manure splashing onto multiple lanes of the highway.
Vehicles attempted to drive through it but spun out due to the dangerous conditions.
Thanks to Caltrans District 3, the mess was cleaned up in about 3 and a half hours.
