Nine national forests will be closing due to extreme fire conditions in Northern California.
According to Fox 40, the U.S. Forest Service announced the following forests will be closed effective August 22 through September 6:
Klamath National Forest
Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit
Lassen National Forest
Mendocino National Forest
Modoc National Forest
Plumas National Forest
Shasta-Trinity National Forest
Six Rivers National Forest
Tahoe National Forest
