You may know Nevada City for its Victorian Christmas celebration, but this small Northern California town also celebrates Mardi Gras in a big way.
Nevada City's annual Mardi Gras celebration is happening Sunday, February 19, 2023, featuring bright costumes, beads, and lots of playfulness. The wild & Scenic Film Festival is also happening the same weekend, so there's plenty to do.
Lunch and shopping is happening from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on N. Pine Street where you can find masks, handmade gifts, costumes, food, dinks, and more. Head to Broad Street at 2 p.m. for the Mardi Gras Parade.
