Some parts of South Lake Tahoe were closed down after some chipmunks tested positive for plague, the Tahoe Daily Tribune reports (via Fox 40).
The Taylor Creek Visitor Center, Kiva Beach, and their parking areas are closed now through Friday while the National Forest Service conducts vector control treatments to those areas.
