Small plane headed for Northern California goes missing

A small plane headed for an airport near Chico has gone missing.

Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Aviation Administration say (via Fox 40) that a single-engine Cessna 150 was headed for an airport near Chico from Oregon. It was last seen at Ashland Municipal Airport on Wednesday at around 9:40 a.m.

The plane is believed to have been headed for Haigh Field Airport, but there was no flight plan filed.

Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office says there's no reason to believe the plane crashed.
