Help save the bees (and have fun while doing it) with this wooden insect house

If you're curious about beekeeping, or want to help the bees without the commitment of becoming a beekeeper, this wooden insect house could be a great place to start.

I found this hanging insect house by Smith & Hawken in Target's outdoor department a while ago, and I still think it's just the cutest thing. It's about the size of a bird house, but it's built to house insects like bees.

Check it out online to see if it's at your favorite Target store here.

You'll also want to check with your city/county's beekeeping regulations to make sure you're allowed to have something like this where you live. The City of Sacramento seems pretty easygoing with urban beekeeping; check out Sac's guidelines here.
