If you're sick of your flights getting delayed or cancelled in or out of SMF, or you're nervous that'll happen to you, try following these tips that an airline employee @adventuresofmattandnat shared on TikTok.
1. Download the airline's app and make sure you ALLOW NOTIFICATIONS. The app is where they post updates FIRST, and you may even get those updates before employees do.
2. Look for your flight on FlightAware.com. This site shows you where all planes are in real time, so you can see if your plane is actually where it's supposed to be.
3. If your flight does get delayed, look up your airline's "bill of rights." You'll learn exactly what you're entitled to if your flight gets delayed, like a hotel room or flight voucher.
4. If you end up needing to call customer service, call whoever you booked your trip through. If you booked through Expedia, call Expedia. Unless you booked directly with your airline, the airline may not be able to help you.
