A mother and daughter were arrested last month after an illegal butt lift procedure resulted in death.
According to KTLA (via Fox 40), aspiring social media star Karissa Rajpa died from acute respiratory failure from silicone injections allegedly performed by Libby Adame and her daughter Alicia Gomez in their Encino, California home.
LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton said Adame and Gomez called 911 when Rajpa began to have complications, and then left her to die.
"They took people's cash and we know in a couple of incidents, it resulted in murder," Hamilton said.
Detectives believe there could be dozens, possibly HUNDREDS, of other victims of Adame and Gomez.
