We're spoiled with river access right here in Sacramento, but if you're looking for something a little different (and incredibly gorgeous), this spot on the Yuba River is worth checking out.
Only In Your State shared this tubing route along the Yuba River, and I had to let you know about it because the views are insanely beautiful not to. It's also not too far away from Sacramento - only about an hour away.
They say floating from Hallwood to Shad Pad Park takes about two to three hours, or longer if you stop along the way.

There are plenty of great places to stop on a hot summer day, such as the boulder pools that you'll see on the route. Plus, the scenic Bridgeport Covered Bridge once you reach the South Yuba River State Park.
Some parts of the river get a bit choppier, but there are trails along the way you can take if you want to avoid white water tubing.
