Detroit Lions center Frank Ragnow suffered a fractured throat during last Sunday’s game and kept playing, something Boomer noted is incredibly tough – and when he tried to get Jerry to help him demonstrate the anatomy of the throat, it brought Al’s “Medicare neck” into focus and gave us the Moment of the Day!

“So that’s like a cartilage right there, see that Al?” Boomer said, as Jerry played professor on his throat. “You look at Al, and Al has a skinny neck.”

“Pencil neck,” Jerry fired, channeling his inner Freddie Blassie.

The Booms then tried to get Al to do a self-exam, and note all of the cartilage.

“You can break that cartilage, and you’re spitting up blood and there’s inflammation and all that…imagine trying to play football through that!”

And that’s when Gio brought back the bad memories of Al’s trunk.

“Al Dukes was once referred to on Twitter as having a ‘Medicare neck’ during one of his parlay videos,” Gio reminded. “Maybe it’s time to get in touch with AARP?”
