The University of Georgia officially named Josh Brooks as the new Director of Athletics on Wednesday. He will replace Greg McGarity, who retired last month after serving 10 years in the position.
Brooks joined the Georgia staff back in December of 2016 as Executive Director of Atheltics and was promoted to Deputy Athletic director in 2018 and Senior Deputy Athletic Director in 2020.
He was serving as UGA's interim A.D. since January 1. He'll become the school's 12th athletic director.
