Joe Judge may be ready to forget about Christmas, but Logan Ryan is going to remember this one for a long time.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the defensive back had agreed to a three-year deal worth $31 million, with $20 million guaranteed, following a one-year prove-it campaign with the team in 2020. Ryan followed up the announcement with his own enthusiastic tweet.

"Prove it" is exactly what Ryan has done this season. The month of December has been one to remember for the former Patriot and Titan, seeing as he started off with a dominant Week 12 performance, finishing with six tackles, two pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. It was enough to land him on Pro Football Focus's Week 12 Team of the Week, among other honors. Now, it ends with quite the Christmas gift.

On the season, Ryan has forced three fumbles, broken up nine passes, recorded an interception, made 84 tackles (59 solo) and allowed a passer rating of 84.3 on targets thrown his way. It's this versatility and strong performance that has enabled the Giants to stay competitive in the NFC East race, as the defense has been a top-ten unit in terms of points allowed and is top-12 in yards allowed.

With Ryan locked up, the Giants will return several key pieces, as Zack Rosenblatt of NJ.com notes:

As for Williams, the sack specialist said that "there haven't been any conversations I know of," and it's anyone's guess as to whether or not the Giants will decide to retain their highly effective (and highly priced) defensive tackle.
