DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) Is Luka Doncic and Luka Magic finally back for the Dallas Mavericks? It appears to be so after Doncic went off for 33 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 assists in the Mavs 113-100 win over the Houston Rockets on Monday.
Willie Cauley-Stein made his first start of the season and scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds. In replacing Dwight Powell in the starting lineup, WCS provided a noticeable difference with his energy and defense.
Meanwhile, Tim Hardaway, Jr. scored a career-high 30 points off the bench going 8 of 10 from the three-point line. Most importantly, the Mavericks defensively held James Harden, and the Rockets' offense overall, in check.
It's important for the Mavs to build off the momentum against the Rockets to guard against ups and downs and remain more consistent throughout the season.
