Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker has made his first big move for the 2021 signing class.
Former USC commit Ma’a Gaoteote, a four-star linebacker, announced Wednesday afternoon he will be attending Michigan State instead.
Gaoteote is ranked 11th at his position and No. 155 overall in the 2021 class. He becomes the top player in Tucker's first recruiting class.
Gaoteote’s brother, a former five-star recruit who committed to USC in 2018 and recently entered the transfer portal, is thought to be another target of Tucker.
