As the City woke up and mentally prepared itself for an epic NLDS Game 5 between the Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers, Glover took a trip down memory lane.

“Sometimes we would walk to Seal Stadium with my dad,” Glover said. “We were that close to it.”

That’s right, Glover was a San Francisco baseball fan before the Giants even came to town in 1958. And there’s never been a bigger Dodgers-Giants game than this one.

“I think they’re going to win tonight,” Glover said.

Glover was spotted at Game 2 of the series at Oracle Park when he paused for a photo with fellow Hollywood icon Tom Cruise.

Glover has been linked to the franchise throughout the years and had a relationship with Bobby Bonds, while adding that Barry Bonds “refers to me as his second daddy.” He celebrated with the team in the locker room after it topped the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2002 NLCS to reach the World Series. Glover also said he’s rooting for a Giants-Houston Astros World Series matchup so he can see his hometown team take on Dusty Baker.

But first, the Giants have to get through tonight’s massive test against the Dodgers at Oracle Park.

“It’s huge,” Glover said. … “They both came out here at the same time. They’ve both been incredibly successful over the years. What can I say about that?”
