The 49ers are going to be without Deebo Samuel for longer than originally expected.

Shanahan told reporters Saturday, "Deebo has changed, took x-rays and MRIs earlier in the week, didn't have anything. Pain was still there, so we got a CT the other day and found a hairline fracture. So he'll be out this game, next game and we'll see after the BYE week.”

The 49ers had originally thought Samuel would be day-to-day with the shoulder injury he sustained against the Browns. Samuel's absence will open the door for other wide receivers Jauan Jennings, Ray-Ray McCloud and rookie Ronnie Bell to get more opportunities.

The news was mixed on the rest of the injury report for Monday night.

Left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) is listed as doubtful while running back Christian McCaffrey (oblique) and linebacker Dre Greenlaw (hamstring) are both questionable.

“It was good to have him out there today. We don't do anything really full-speed except for seven on, but the fact he was able to go out there today and feel good, just gives him a chance. We’ve just got to make sure he can go into that game on Monday and feel real good.”
