One former NFL star still has faith in Zach Wilson.
The New York Jets rookie quarterback has not quite played up to expectations this season, but former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson appears to hold the 22-year-old in high regard despite all his struggles.

“Zach Wilson is f---ing great,” Johnson tweeted on Sunday. “We must understand he’s a rookie & will be fine, he’s an immense talent & once things around him are all on one accord you’ll see them flourish as a unit.”
There is no question Wilson has not had much help around him on the offense, but there also has not really been a moment yet where fans have seen Wilson progressing from the start of the season.
On Sunday, Wilson completed 19-of-42 pass attempts for 202 yards and was sacked three times, but did not turn the ball over, in a 30-9 loss to the Saints.

He has just six touchdowns to 11 interceptions in nine games this season after the Jets selected him with the No. 2 overall pick out of BYU.
With four games remaining, fans would certainly like to see some sort of sign to feel as confident as Johnson to think Wilson is “f---ing great” heading into 2022.
