Chase Young was on the practice field for the first time with his 49ers teammates as the team returned from its Bye Week on Monday.
San Francisco acquired Young from Washington at last Tuesday's trade deadline and the former number two overall pick is expected to make his 49ers debut on Sunday at Jacksonville.
Young will reunite with college teammate Nick Bosa on opposite sides of the 49ers defensive line and the two spent a portion of practice open to the media getting reacquainted with one another.
In other news, Deebo Samuel returned to 49ers practice for the first time since sustaining a hairline fracture in his shoulder during a Week 6 loss to the Browns on October 15.
The 49ers also opened the practice window for three players who were injured to start the season, DL Robert Beal Jr. (Injured Reserve List), CB Darrell Luter Jr. (Physically Unable to Perform List) and CB Samuel Womack III (Injured Reserve List). All three can practice with the team for the next three weeks before the 49ers can decide to either fully activate them and add them to the 53-man roster or return them to their respective injured list for the remainder of the season.
