Count 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel among the many who are excited about the trade for Commanders pass rusher Chase Young prior to Tuesday's NFL trade deadline.
Samuel told Kay Adams on the Up and Adams Show, “It’s just crazy all the guys we’ve got on the d-line and just to add him, such and impact that he’s had in his career so far, for him to be part of the team is amazing. We’ve already got good guys on the d-line right now, just to add him it’s like an extra little umph that I think we need."
Adams then asked Deebo if he'd had a chance to talk to the former number two overall pick after the deal went down, “I called him after I got the news. I was like bro are you ready to come out here? He was like ‘man I was just on the massage table and just get a call that I’m going to the Niners.’ He’s like, ’s—t I’m ready to go,'"
The 49ers are hopeful that Young will add to what has been a lackluster pass rush through eight games despite the big time resume's of Nick Bosa, Javon Hargrave and Arik Armstead up front.
