Kyle Shanahan is entering his ninth season as the San Francisco 49ers' head coach.
By most measures, it's been a wildly successful run with a couple of trips to the Super Bowl, three division titles and four playoff appearances. But the Niners finished 6-11 last season and missed the playoffs after three straight trips to the postseason.
