Money usually answers all things, and that seems to be the case for legendary broadcaster Joe Buck who will reportedly be leaving Fox Sports after nearly 30 years to become the new voice of ESPN's Monday Night Football according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post.
In the report, Buck was granted permission on Friday from Fox to talk to ESPN due to his multiple years of service with the company. A deal is expected to be inked soon and is reportedly worth a staggering $60-75 million.
Buck, 52, called multiple World Series and Super Bowls for the broadcasting giant and had one-year, $11 million left on his contract.
At ESPN, Buck will be reunited with his partner Troy Aikman after the Hall of Fame quarterback reportedly agreed to a five-year, $92.5 million contract with the worldwide leader in sports.
Outside of his duties on MNF, Buck will also be involved with projects on ESPN+.
Now that leaves us asking, will ESPN bring back Erin Andrews to complete their full rebuild of MNF? Who will replace Buck and Aikman as the No. 1 crew on Fox? We shall see, but with ESPN's new-look broadcast team, MNF has finally become watchable again.
