We've seen several examples — in fact, too many examples — of poor fan behavior at NFL games this season. Terrible things have been screamed. The pettiest of arguments have turned into massive brawls. Fans have been cussed out, thrown out, knocked out and everything in between.
But in Week 13, when the Baltimore Ravens came to Heinz Field to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, we may have been "gifted" with the worst fan video of them all.
Days after the Steelers came away with a clutch one-point victory over the Ravens, a video surfaced of two fans bickering back and forth, though we don't know what started this altercation. Surrounding fans tried to dispel the tension that was mounting, and for a moment it seemed like that their efforts may have been successful. But before too long, the Ravens fan threw a beer in the face of the persistent and curse-spewing Steelers fan seated a row back, and that's when the drama really kicked up a notch.
WARNING: Video contains constant NSFW language. Viewer discretion is advised.
Luckily, it doesn't look like there was any physical violence nor does it look like anyone was harmed. It would be unfair of us to pinpoint blame on either of the two parties involved because we don't know exactly who or what instigated the hostile encounter, but it is fair to say that all of the behavior seen in the video is deplorable.
As mentioned before, it's not the first example or the last example of poor conduct at NFL games, and a combination of team rivalries, alcohol and other factors will likely keep these instances alive, but the hope is that something might be enforced at these stadiums to lessen the prevalence of such incidents.
