EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (WCBS 880) — MetLife Stadium is looking for new art to honor essential workers in the Tri-State area that have been working at the frontlines of the pandemic.
To find the perfect match, the stadium has teamed up with its two franchises, the New York Giants and New York Jets, to host a mural contest.
Artists can submit their designs for a chance to have it be featured at the stadium next year. There will be two winners selected and the stadium will put up two, two-story tall murals.

“We’re inspired by the profound impact the workforce of plumbers, mechanics, warehouse workers, cooks, healthcare administrators, small business owners and more have on our communities, and on our daily lives. The murals will commemorate these men and women for years to come,” the stadium wrote on the contest page.
The contest is open to all levels of artist and participants must be 14 years or older to enter.
The submission window ends on Dec. 14 and designs will be judged be a selected panel.
MetLife says a professional artist will take the winning visions to create the murals at the stadium.
