PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Monday afternoon Pitt head coach Jeff Capel, just coming back from coronavirus, held a Zoom call to discuss playing at Duke. He repeated a message from a couple of weeks ago wondering why we are still playing college basketball due to COVID-19 and potential unknown, long-term health issues.

Roughly two hours later, Pitt’s game against the Blue Devils was postponed due to a positive test, subsequent quarantining and contact tracing within the Pitt men’s basketball program.

We don’t know who the tested positive or how many are in quarantine.

It’s the first time a game has been moved for the Panthers this year.  No word yet as to when it will be rescheduled or how it could affect the Panthers home game against Notre Dame on Saturday at 2p.
