For the University at Buffalo football team (5-1), the 2020 season didn't end with the disappointing 38-28 loss to Ball State in the Mid-American Conference championship game on Friday night in Detroit, Michigan.
It was announced Sunday morning that the Bulls accepted an invite to the 2020 Camellia Bowl and will play Marshall University (7-2) at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama on Dec. 25.
On Christmas Day, UB will make its third-consecutive bowl game appearance, and fifth overall in the program's history. Last season, the Bulls defeated Charlotte 31-9 in the Bahamas Bowl to win the school's first-ever bowl game.
Buffalo and Marshall used to be conference rivals when the Thundering Herd were part of the MAC from 1997 to 2005. Marshall won all six matchups with UB during that span, with the last victory coming in 2004.
Opening kickoff between the Bulls and Thundering Herd is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. EST on Friday. The game will be televised on ESPN.
You can also listen to the action with pregame and postgame coverage on the radio home of the UB Bulls – ESPN 1520.
