Earlier today Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael were talking about a number of Heisman trophy contenders after some great performances over the weekend in the conference championship games.
Some of the names Andy and Randy discussed were Mac Jones, DeVonta Smith and Najee Harris who all play for the Alabama Crimson Tide as well as Florida quarterback Kyle Trask before they turned their attention to Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
“I know it’s not a lifetime achievement award, you give the Heisman out for your success that season but I would be ok if they made the decision with Trevor Lawrence and made it a lifetime achievement award. His college career is befitting of the Heisman trophy. If I was voting, I would vote for Trevor,” said Andy.
“I would too, he would get my vote…But it’s not always the best player who wins the Heisman,” Randy added.
Andy and Randy also talked about how much fun it would be if DeVonta Smith won the Heisman as wide receiver.
