Title: Chief Executive Officer

Organization: The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative

Stacy Lentz is an LGBTQ+ activist and a co-owner of the Stonewall Inn, the iconic site of the 1969 riots that launched the modern gay rights movement. In 2006, the Stonewall Inn closed its doors. Lentz was part of a team of investors who joined owners, Bill Morgan, Kurt Kelly, and Tony DeCicco, and saved the historic landmark. The Stonewall Inn was designated a National Monument in 2016, making it the first LGBTQ national monument in US history.

Lentz also lends her expertise and energy to hundreds of events and fundraisers for LGBTQ+ organizations. She has partnered with Heritage of Pride to help produce some of the largest activations of NYC Pride, the premiere Pride celebration in the United States, and helped organize the March for Marriage rally, uniting over 80 LGBTQ+ organizations and thousands of people to call for the repeal of DOMA in 2013. Lentz was a featured rally speaker on the steps of the Supreme Court in Washington DC, calling on the courts to rule in favor of LGBTQ+ workplace protections. The ruling passed in 2020.

Lentz currently is the CEO and co-founder of The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative, a nonprofit focused on serving underserved members of the LGBTQ+ community. She is also a TEDx speaker and has appeared on CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and various other news outlets discussing gay rights and issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community.
