Ashley McBryde strides into Wednesday’s CMA Awards carrying three nominations and a cache of talent that fans have been praising this entire year. She also brings a wealth of knowledge in slapdash fashion techniques while on the road. “Being glamorous is so not glamorous,” she told RADIO.COM’s Rob + Holly before the 54th edition of the show.

The artist says she misses being on the road and performing hits like “One Night Standards” off her Album of the Year nominated Never Will. One thing she won’t miss from her tour will be the bus. “There is a smell where the bunks are, and I don’t know what it is,” she revealed. “I’m just going to call it bunk foot.”

McBryde was lucky enough to perform at the CMT music awards last month. She noticed shovels onstage being used as props and decided to share them with fans. So, Ashley started signing the tools and passing them to fans. “I can’t use 25 shovels. So I thought, ‘You might as well sign it and let someone shovel their garden with it,’” she said. Turns out the star has continued gifting shovels through social media.

For much more watch the full interview with Ashley McBryde above, and make sure to catch the 2020 CMA Awards, November 11 at 8PM ET on ABC.
