Amanda Bynes can finally get back to what a girl wants.

As previously reported, the conservatorship that controlled Bynes' estate for nearly nine years was terminated earlier this week. And the “All That” star quickly made a statement on the matter.
After a Ventura County Superior Court judge ended the conservatorship that was previously run by her mother, Lynn Bynes, the 35-year old actress wanted to express her excitement and share her hopes for the future.
Bynes told Entertainment Tonight, via her attorney, David A. Esquibias, that "words can't even describe how I feel – wonderful news."
"Following today's decision by the judge to terminate my conservatorship,” Bynes continued, “I would like to thank my fans for their love and well wishes during this time. I would also like to thank my lawyer and my parents for their support over the last nine years.”
Bynes made a name for herself as a child actor in two early 2000s Nickelodeon shows -- “All That" and "The Amanda Show." Her fame continued with the 2003 hit comedy movie, “What a Girl Wants" and the teen sitcom "What I Like About You."
The conservatorship has been in place following Bynes' involuntarily hospitalization in 2013. Bynes later revealed that she'd been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. In the beginning of 2022, she initiated court proceedings over the conservatorship, and debuted an Instagram account where she showed progress in her sobriety, including the removal of a face tattoo.
The termination of the conservatorship means she can further move on with her life.
"In the last several years," said Bynes, "I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter. I am excited about my upcoming endeavors, including my fragrance line, and look forward to sharing more when I can."

There are seemingly no hard feelings between Bynes and her mother Lynn, who also released a statement through her attorney, Tamar Arminak.
"Lynn is very happy and proud of Amanda for everything that she's done and come through,” wrote Arminak, “and how she's stronger and better on the other side of this conservatorship. Lynn is looking forward to Amanda's engagement and everything that follows, and to having a mother-daughter relationship rather than a conservator-conservatee relationship."
