During her time at Audacy’s Leading Ladies event presented by Olay Body, King opened up about the status of new music and how she hopes to use it to help people get to know her better.

“[It’s] almost done,” Elle said of the forthcoming project. “I hope to be putting it out soon.”

The album will follow Elle’s debut Country album, Come Get Your Wife, from 2023 which included some standout collabs like “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” with Miranda Lambert and “Worth A Shot” feat. Dierks Bentley. This time around, King is more focused on solo tracks that will help listeners get to know her better.

“What I love about Country is the fact that I can be my truest, authentic self musically, spiritually and I can kind of give fans a bit more of a glimpse into my life,” she shared. “There’s a lot that people don’t know about me and I think that using music as a cathartic way to share with the world about who I am and where I come from and how I feel about things is the way that I can express myself best.”

While vocal collaborations won’t be present, Elle did welcome one of her favorite collaborators, Pillbox Patti, to help her story-tell through songwriting.

“Pillbox Patti is one of the most badass songwriters ever,” she expressed. “We ended up writing some of the songs on the record and they probably might be some of my favorite songs off the album. She’s just such a superstar.”

No title or release date for the project has been revealed, but fans can hear more about it along with Elle’s favorite moments from her recent trip to C2C and who she calls her “Leading Ladies,” by checking out her full conversation with Audacy’s Katie Neal above -- and stay tuned for more coverage from Audacy's Leading Ladies 2024 right HERE.
