Coming off one successful tour on the way into another, Scott is still livin' his best life, and he is unpacking his latest project with us during Dylan Scott: On The Record. Hear the "I Hate Whiskey" singer explain the stories behind the new songs and hits like "Country Till I Die" and "This Town's Been Too Good To Us," as he plays his new album just for you.

"So this album is really just a continuation of what I've done in the past two albums I've done," shares Scott. "The concept behind the songs are still pretty much the same. You got your love songs, and your town songs, and your feel good songs, but you know, I'm getting a little older in life, so I feel like the lyrics and the music itself is a little more mature."

Kicking things off with the album opener, "What He'll Never Have," Dylan admits, "I just thought it was another song until my wife looked at me and she's like, 'this is my favorite song you've ever recorded.' Which I thought was crazy of all the love songs."

Scott also shares the stories behind each track on Easy Does It, including standouts like "Back Forty," and "You'd Think I Was A Cowboy."

"I'm not a cowboy, by no means," smiles Scott. "I really consider myself just a redneck from middle of nowhere Louisiana. The cowboys, they're roping the girls in, they're riding them off into a sunset, and it's like, when I wrote this song, I wanted to write a song that's like, 'I'm not a cowboy, but you would think I was a cowboy the way that I got the girl.' Roped her in, rode her out to a sunset, the whole deal. There's some really cool phrases in this song that relate to that and I was pretty proud of it. It's a fun little upbeat, swaggy little thing that I was pretty proud of."
