Lindsay Lohan is going to give acting another stab, this time for an upcoming Netflix holiday rom-com.
According to EW, while there’s no announced title just yet, Lohan’s character was described in a Netflix tweet yesterday as, "a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter after getting total amnesia in a skiing accident."
Given Lohan’s long-running feud with Paris Hilton, one has to hope she’ll base some of the loopy character on her old nemesis.
Directed by holiday shmaltz flick vet, Janeen Damian (Hallmark Channel's “A Christmas Waltz”), the Lohan vehicle starts filming this November. So it’ll either miss the holiday film season, or maybe it’s based around 4th of July.
Actually, Lohan has been low-key busy the last few years. She wrapped her role in the long-delayed supernatural thriller, “Among the Shadows,” and she appeared on the British TV series, “Sick Note.”
Of course, there was her ubiquitous MTV reality series, "Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club" in 2019, and the singer released a new single in 2020, “Back to Me,” in which she sang, “I can’t think too much about what they say.”.
Her recent heartfelt Instagram tribute to her friend, the late Natasha Richardson, further proved that Lohan has not let the grind of celebrity life and gossip derail her… too much.
