With the Big Game upon us this weekend, let's take a look back at some of the biggest icon's that lit up the halftime show stage!
1. Beyonce brought her A-game in 2013 with special guest Destiny's Child!
2. Bruno Mars showed the world what he was about in 2014 with special guest Red Hot Chili Peppers!
3. Beyonce and Bruno were so good they invited them both back a 2nd time with Cold Play in 2016!
4. Michael Jackson threw it down in 1993!
5. Prince performed 'Purple Rain' in the rain! Check out this iconic performance in 2007.
6. Janet Jackson's infamous nip slip in 2004 made this one of the most memorable halftime performances. Thanks Justin Timberlake! It almost makes you forget that Diddy, Nelly, Kid Rock and Jessica Simpson were also apart of it.
7. Many agree that the 2001 halftime show is one of the best ever! How can you not love Aerosmith, Britney Spears, 'Nsync, Nelly and Mary J Blige dancing all on stage together!
8. Justin Timberlake was welcomed back a 3rd time to perform, this time solo!
9. Missy Elliott deserves to be headliner but she came out and "worked it" for the halftime in 2015 with Katy Perry and Lenny Kravitz.
10. Madonna showed out like the icon she is at the 2012 halftime show and she welcomed Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. and Cee-Lo Green to stage with her.
11. This one is rarely mentioned but honestly is one of the best! Who remembers the Motown tribute in 1998 with The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, Queen Latifah and Boyz II Men? So good!
12. Black Eyed Peas took over the halftime show stage in 2011 but it was Usher who stole the performance.
13. And of course who can forget the energetic, sexy performance from Jennifer Lopez and Shakira from last year's halftime show!
