LISTEN NOW: Yung Miami with Greg Street
After making her name with City Girls, Yung Miami is ready to take sole possession of the spotlight, thanks to a relentless creative vision, an injection of high-profile producers, and unstoppable growth on her way to releasing this project.
"I think that this album is like a great body of work from top to bottom, bottom to top,” she tells Greg Street inside the V-103 Atlanta studios. “I, me personally, I think the album is no skips. Blood, sweat, and tears into this album."
Miami discussed with Street her transition from being a member of the duo City Girls to pursuing a solo career, addressing the dynamics of navigating personal growth, motherhood, and industry expectations along the way.
“Being in a group is two people, it's two different personalities,” Yung says of this change. “You have to be like on the same page, which I feel like for the most part when it came to music, we was on the same page, but I think that like, just being a solo artist, you could really get to see my personality shine through my music.”
