Revealing that “new music is dropping very very soon,” after doing a lot of charity and business work back home, Akon is “getting back to the music.”

Also discussing the allegations thrown his way, by as Tigger put it, “somebody that’s in jail,” Akon shared his thoughts on Suge Knight, calling him “a virus.”

“For someone to come up with an allegation that outrageous is just crazy. And I hate to be in a position where I have to defend myself with people like that… He has a whole chip on his shoulder that he just utilize to just try and drop and bring down everyone that he felt that put him in the position that he’s in today," Akon explained. "It’s just so sad.”

Clarifying that despite the podcast that brought all the alleged accusations to light made it seem he was also involved in the conversation, Akon says he was not on the phone call with Suge during the episode, expressing his sound bites were taken out of context from an interview he did three years prior. “I would never even be on the phone with him,” Akon asserted, who stressed the fact he has and wants no association with Suge Knight what so ever.

Akon also talked about his tour, and shared his thoughts on Burna Boy turning down a hefty bag because the Dubai venue had specific rules when it came to marijuana. Listen to the whole conversation above for more.
