Recently, his rather odd beef with Tekashi69 has him on the public’s bad side; though, many fans are still baffled about why the respected Philly native was even entertaining the troll. However, in a newly surfaced preview of an upcoming collaboration with Lil Baby, some are wanting to cancel him for good.

In an untitled snippet that has since been deleted, Meek declares, “If I ever lack, I’ll go out with my choppa / it’ll be another Kobe.” The insensitive line comes weeks after the anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s tragic death. The legend passed away in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. The crash also claimed the lives of his daughter, Gianna, and seven others.

As the snippet gained traction on Twitter, people berated him over his inhumane lyrical content.

One user stated, “When @MeekMill wrote that, he had plenty of time to think about Kobe’s wife and children.  But instead of saying something positive or relevant, Meek said that trash.  It would be somewhat understandable coming from a hater, but to be someone who admired Kobe, it’s inexcusable!”

While another user came to Meek’s defense, “Literally all he did was compare the way he would die to the way Kobe died. I’m just not seeing where the disrespect comes in…”

Meek Mill indirectly responded to the criticism with this tweet, “somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it.... y’all internet antics cannot stop me ....s*** like zombie land or something! Lol.” He continued with this declaration, “They paying to influence y’all now... its almost like mind control 'wake up'”
