It’s been almost two years since UK-born 21 Savage was arrested and detained for ten days by ICE in Atlanta for overstaying a visa, which had expired in 2006.
In a recent interview with the Big Facts crew, 21 recalled paying a visit to Carter Castle after his release, just kidding JAY-Z and Beyoncé’s house. "When I got out, I pulled up on JAY-Z at his house and s***. Him and Beyoncé was in there, and we was kicking it.”
The reason for the stop by, well Hova was actually the one who helped provide Savage with legal counsel after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained him.
21, whose real name is She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, continued on, “He a regular n****. I just was thanking him.” Further revealing that “when I first got out, I texted him like, 'I'mma pay you back.' He was like, 'I don't want your money.' He said, 'Pay me back by being great.' So I pulled up on him, chopped it up, just thanked him and s*** like that, 'cause he ain't have to do that s***.”
21 also talked about what it was like growing up as an immigrant in Atlanta. Additionally, he explained that even though he is no longer in ICE custody, he and his legal team are still dealing with the aftermath.
