For those of you who have been or were hype to introduce a big ole bowl of Snoop Loopz into your breakfast, lunch or dinner routine, sorry to say this, but you’re time to do or continue doing so is limited. As it turns out the Snoop Dogg and his parter in the breakfast staple game, Master P, are being forced to change the cereal’s name.

“So they don’t want us to use Snoop Loopz on our cereal box even though that’s my name,” Snoop shared in the caption of an Instagram video that showed himself and Master P showing off boxes of the gluten-free cereal they created. “We’ve built a national brand and disrupted the cereal industry, we did it with hard work and integrity. I know they’re uncomfortable and scared. But our mission is to build diversity and economic empowerment.”

While the rappers didn’t name drop the opposing breakfast brand, odds are it’s Kellogg’s, which has owned the Froot Loops brand trademark since the eighties.

Talking directly to the opposition, Snoop's captioned continued, “Times have changed. There’s enough room for all of us to be successful. This is bigger than us, we are fighting for the next generation of entrepreneurs. We’re no longer just being consumers, we’re educating the culture building our own brands, and passing down generational wealth. Broadus Foods is all about helping the community.”

Distributed through the pair’s food label Broadus Foods, the marshmallow-filled cereal was the first step towards Snoop and Master P’s breakfast industry takeover. A plan they very much intend to continue pursuing.

Taking to IG again, calling the ordeal a “Minor setback for a major comeback,” the rappers asked their fans and followers for advice on what the next cereal name should be.

And as expected the responses came rolling in. Check out the suggestions in the video below, and feel free to drop in yours in the post’s comment section.
