When picking a place to live, there are many factors that come into play. While some look for schools in the area, or proximity to their place of work, others look at culture and nightlife. However, the one thing everyone wants is to live in a neighborhood that is safe. Luckily for those in DFW, there are three cities in the metroplex that have been ranked among the safest in America.
SmartAsset recently unveiled their list of the safest cities in America, and once again Frisco, McKinney and Plano were at the top. For the second year in a row, Frisco was ranked the safest city in America, followed by McKinney. Plano managed to become even safer in the last year, moving up from the number nine spot to number five.

According to Dallas Culture Map, the study came up with the rankings by looking at data from 200 of the country’s largest cities across five metrics. The metrics were violent crime, property crime, vehicular death rate, drug-poisoning death rate, and percentage of the population engaging in excessive drinking. Thanks to this study, there is yet another reason for people to want to live in DFW.
