DFW has never been known as a pizza town, but for all the love the metroplex has received for Tex-Mex and BBQ over the years, someone is finally praising the pizza served here. Yelp recently unveiled their list of the top 100 pizza spots in America, and North Texas managed to get three spots on the list. One of those even landed in the top 20 for the entire country.
When it comes to pizza, most people in North Texas already have a favorite spot. However, Yelp claims one pizza shop in DFW stands out above the rest. The restaurant review website recently named Motor City Pizza in Lewisville as the 16th best pizza spot in America. Two other pizza shops in the metroplex made the list as well, with Paparazzi Pizza in Carrollton landing at number 28 and Slice City Pizza in Fort Worth at number 33.
As for Motor City Pizza, they are located on FM 407 and are known for Detroit style pizza, according to Dallas Morning News. In total, Texas had 6 pizza shops in the top 100. At this rate, Texas will be known for their pizza soon enough.
