Getting the biopic treatment is the ultimate sign of respect for an artist. Now, it appears late Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland will be next to have his life turned into a movie. It was announced recently that a Scott Weiland biopic, based on his 2011 memoir ‘Not Dead & Not For Sale,’ is in the works and fans could not be more excited.
Not much is known about the Scott Weiland biopic at this time, other than it is currently being called ‘Paper Hearts’ and will be produced by Dark Pictures and Orian Williams. The film will be written by Jennifer Erwin, who is the co-founder of Dark Pictures and a “die-hard” Stone Temple Pilots fan. “It’s an honor to have the trust to tell Scott’s story and the ability to portray the lesser known sides of him – the loving and tender man he was, the high school athlete he was, the melancholy soul he was and the legendary frontman that he will always be,” said Erwin.
The film will tell the story of Weiland’s life, including his battles with addiction and his comebacks, according to NME. For Stone Temple Pilots fans, this film can’t come soon enough.
