When Michael Mann released his novel, ‘Heat 2,’ last summer fans obviously began to wonder when the sequel would be made into a film. A potential follow up to the 1995 heist movie starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino has been discussed by fans for years, but now it is looking more and more like a real thing. It was recently reported that actor Adam Driver was in discussion to play a young version of Robert De Niro’s character in ‘Heat 2.’
Fresh off working with Michael Mann on the upcoming Enzo Ferrari biopic, it appears Adam Driver could be teaming up with the director again. According to Bro Bible, Driver is set to star as a young Neil McCauley, who was portrayed by Robert De Niro in the original film. While not much is known about the film, the book version told the story of everything that happens before and after to the characters in the original.
No other roles have been announced, although Ana de Armas and Austin Butler have been rumored for the project as well. It is unknown if any of the original cast would appear in the sequel. If all this is true, Adam Driver definitely will have some big shoes to fill.
