When American Airlines announced back in 2015 that they were building a new corporate headquarters campus in Fort Worth, the plans included a hotel and convention center. Now, after years of delays the project is almost complete. The Airline recently announced the new hotel and convention center will finally open in 2023.
American Airlines’ new “hospitality complex” in Fort Worth is the final piece of their $1 billion, 300-acre corporate headquarters campus in Fort Worth. Officially known as Skyview 6, the building will replace their flight attendant hotel and will also include integrated operations center and its administrative offices. “We’re hoping to simplify team members’ visiting experience by building a modern hospitality complex at the heart of our campus.
A place where visiting team members can lodge, eat, socialize and work out,” American Airlines said in a memo.
According to Dallas Morning News, the complex will feature 600 rooms, a 73,000-square-foot fitness center with a swimming pool and outdoor basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, dining room and a bar. With the opening of this new hotel and convention center, American Airlines’ Fort Worth campus is one that could rival any other company’s headquarters.
